63 Percent Of Americans Disapprove Of Trump’s Handling Of Health Care
A new poll released Wednesday finds that a strong majority of Americans are unhappy with Donald Trump’s handling of the health care issue.
According to a Quinnipiac poll, 63 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of health care.
And just 29 percent of Americans say they approve of Trump’s efforts, the poll found.
Americans don’t view the Republican plan to repeal Obamacare any more favorably according to the Quinnipiac poll.
The poll found that 58 percent of respondents disapprove of the Republican plan with just 16 percent supporting it.
Mitch McConnell was forced to delay a vote on the Republican Obamacare repeal bill after several Republican senators announced they would vote no on the bill.
Other key numbers from the poll:
- 60 percent say they support a Medicare for all Universal Health Care system
- 61 percent oppose cutting off federal funding for Planned Parenthood
- 71 percent of voters including 53 percent of Republicans oppose decreasing federal funding for Medicaid
About the poll: The Quinnipiac poll was conducted June 22 – 27 and surveyed 1,212 voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 3.4 percentage points, including the design effect. Live interviewers call landlines and cell phones.
