Greta Van Susteren Out At MSNBC

Greta Van Susteren is leaving MSNBC nearly six months after joining the network.

“I am out at MSNBC,” Greta Van Susteren tweeted Thursday afternoon.

Her confirmed a Vanity Fair report that she and the cable-news network have parted ways.

“The anchor, whose show [For the Record] struggled to gain traction even as the rest of her colleagues were buoyed by anti-Trump hysteria, has parted ways with the network. She will not appear on the show on Thursday evening,” Vanity Fair’s Emily Jane Fox reported.

In a memo to employees, MSNBC President Phil Griffin called Van Susteren “a well-regarded television veteran and one of only a few broadcasters who can say they’ve hosted shows at all three major cable news networks.”

“We are grateful to her and wish her the best,” he said.

Van Susteren will be replaced by Ari Melber, who currently hosts a weekend show on MSNBC called The Point.
