Trump’s Voter Fraud Chief Has A Long History Of Voter Suppression
On Thursday, Donald Trump named Hans von Spakovsky to head up his Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.
Von Spakovsky has a long history of voter suppression efforts including voter-ID efforts.
In 2006, Hans von Spakovsky was appointed to the FEC by former President George W. Bush.
Von Spakovsky currently runs the Election Law Reform Initiative at the conservative Heritage Foundation where he has a long history of supporting stricter voter ID laws and promoting the unproven claim of “widespread” voter fraud in U.S. elections.
Donald Trump established the voter fraud commission after losing the popular vote by 3 million votes and making the unsubstantiated claim that “millions” of illegal voters took part in the presidential election.
