Lewandowski: Election Attack ‘Issue Is Officially Dead’ Since Putin Said He Didn’t Do It
Trump campaign alum Cory Lewandowski resurfaced Sunday to announce that the whole Russia attack “issue is officially dead.”
Corey Lewandowski appeared on Donald Trump’s favorite show Fox and Friends to make his proclamation that after Trump meekly raised the election issues with Putin and Putin insisted that Russia did not attack the U.S. election that the whole issue should be put to bed now.
“Now, the president is taking this issue directly to the president of Russia and raised it, so now I think the issue is officially dead,” Lewandowski.
The former Trump campaign manager continued, “and pressed him very tough to find out if Russia had anything to do with the outcome of the U.S. election.”
“And from what Vladimir Putin said, the answer is ‘no,'” Lewandowski added.
Lewandowski also attacked the press saying “Well, you guys know this better than anybody, but the mainstream media and the liberal left wants to continue to perpetuate a false narrative.”
“What we now know is that Barack Obama was the one who was informed in August of last year, before the election that Russia was trying to interfere in the elections and did nothing about it,” Lewandowski continued.
