Republicans Just Lost Two More Votes On Health Care Bill
Two more Republican Senators just announced that they won’t be supporting the GOP Obamacare repeal bill.
Jerry Moran of Kansas and Mike Lee of Utah announced on Monday night they will not support what is called the “motion to proceed” to allow the Obamacare repeal bill to go to the Senate floor for formal debate.
The announcement means Republicans won’t have the votes to proceed, which essentially kills the bill.
Senator Mike Lee added on Twitter that “my colleague @JerryMoran and I will not support the MTP to this version of BCRA.”

“This closed-door process has yielded the [bill], which fails to repeal the Affordable Care Act or address healthcare’s rising costs. For the same reasons I could not support the previous version of this bill, I cannot support this one,” Moran said in a statement.
Mike Lee and Jerry Moran join Rand Paul and Susan Collins on the Republican side in announcing opposition to the GOP bill. All Senate Democrats have announced they will vote no.
