That Time President Obama Gave Anthony Scaramucci An Embarrassing Smackdown (Video)

Donald Trump just hired a new communications director, and in true Trump fashion, he has no communications, political or government experience – but he is a Wall Street guy.
Scaramucci is familiar to people who watch CNBC, where he has been a regular guest.
But you might also remember him from a town hall event where he tried to take on President Obama for being meant to Wall Street and ended up getting his butt kicked.
Scaramucci opened by reminding Obama that they attended law school together and told Obama about his hedge fund.
“You’ve done very well, congratulations,” Obama said jokingly.
Scaramucci then asked Obama why he was being so mean to all his Wall Street buddies (the event took place shortly after the financial crisis).
“I represent the Wall Street community, we have felt like a pinata,” Scaramucci said.
“I have been amused over the past couple of years, this sense somehow of me beating up Wall Street,” Obama said. “I think most folks on Main Street feel like they got beat up on.”
“And I’ll be honest with you, there’s a big chunk of the country that thinks I’ve been to soft on Wall Street,” he added. “That’s probably the majority, not the minority.”
Obama then said that Scaramucci “shouldn’t be feeling put upon.”
“The question should be how can we work with you to continue growing the economy,” Obama said.
“The notion that somehow me saying maybe you should be taxed more … I don’t think that’s me being extremist or being anti-business,” Obama added.
