Sen. Schumer Takes on Trump’s Latest Obamacare Tweets
It’s hard to keep track of how Trump feels about Obamacare. Sometimes he says it should implode, sometime he says we need to repeal and replace.
Trump took to Twitter earlier this morning to threaten ending a key Obamacare provision that helps subsidize premiums for middle-income Americans.
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer called on President Trump to “finally begin acting presidential” after Trump threatened to end key Obamacare payments to insurers.
“If the president refuses to make the cost sharing reduction payments, every expert agrees that premiums will go up and health care will be more expensive for millions of Americans,” Schumer said in a statement.
“The president ought to stop playing politics with people’s lives and health care, start leading, and finally begin acting presidential,” he added.

After the Obamacare repeal failed, Schumer also called on his colleagues to “turn the page” and work together to improve the healthcare bill.
“I would suggest we turn the page,” he said. “I hope one part of turning that page is that we go back to regular order, work in the committees together to improve Obamacare.”
However, Trump just can’t seem to “lose,” so he’ll choose to destroy millions of lives in order for him to feel good about himself.
