Anthony Scaramucci Just Lost His Job As Trump’s Communications Director
BREAKING
Anthony Scaramucci is out as White House communications director, The New York Times is reporting.
Scaramucci’s firing comes just days after his profanity filled rant to The New Yorker about former chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon.
Scaramucci’s firing indicates John Kelly is asserting his power as the new chief of staff.
“The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge,” The New York Times reports.
Scaramucci was only named as communications director 10 days ago.
The White House released a statement saying Scaramucci wanted to give John Kelly a “clean slate.”
