Official Running Trump Super PAC Worked On 2016 Campaign
Trump’s campaign fundraising chair donated $200,000 to Trump super PAC.
Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ronald Weiser, who played a leadership role in Trump’s 2016 fundraising effort, has donated $200,000 to a dark money super PAC supporting Donald Trump.
According to Federal Election Commission filings, Weiser donated six figures to the America First Action super PAC. He was the only donor in the first half of the year, according to the FEC report.
In addition to his role as the Chair of Michigan GOP, Weiser was the vice-chair of Trump’s 2016 joint fundraising committee.
Weiser also raised money for the Donald Trump’s inauguration and his transition team.
The dark-money super PAC has attempted to promote Trump’s legislative agenda through advertising and other advocacy efforts.
