GOP Senator Knocks Trump For Being ‘Only Person Who Didn’t Know’ Health Care Is Complicated
Republicans are turning on Trump.
Republican Lamar Alexander, who is the chairman of the Senate Health Committee, just knocked Donald Trump for being the only person who didn’t understand how complicated health policy is.
During an interview with The New York Times’ “The New Washington” podcast, “As the president said, nobody knew how complicated this was.”
“Well, he may have been the only person who didn’t know that, because it’s very complicated. It involves nearly 300 million Americans, many different points of view.”
The comments from the chairman of the Senate’s Health Committee comes after Republicans failed to pass any of their Obamacare repeal bills.
Analysis from the Congressional Budget found that between 16 million and 33 million people would lose insurance under the various GOP bills.
