Manafort’s Son-In-Law Has Handed Over Documents To The Feds
Why do all these guys involve their son-in-laws?
Paul Manafort’s son-in-law Jeffrey Yohai has already met with and handed over documents to federal investigators, according to a CNN report.
Federal officials spoke with Jeffrey Yohai as part of the federal investigation into Manafort’s alleged financial crimes including money laundering in connection with his work for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.
Yohai is also under investigation over shady real estate deals with his father-in-law.
According to the CNN report, the documents Yohai turned over as part of a separate Justice Department probe have since been transferred to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian election meddling and possible collusion between Trump associates and Russia.
In late July FBI officers raided Manafort’s northern Virgina home with a warrant issued to Muller’s investigation.
Mueller has impaneled a grand jury in Washington D.C., in addition to the existing grand jury in Virginia. As part of the investigation, the grand jury also issued subpoenas to several global banks for Manafort’s bank transaction information.
