Donald Trump’s Low Approval Rating Just Broke A New Record
BREAKING
Donald Trump’s already record-low approval rating just got even lower.
According to the latest Gallup Daily Tracking Survey, Trump’s job approval rating now stands at just 34 percent. The lowest point in his presidency.
At the same time, Trump has also hit an all time high for disapproval with 61 percent of Americans saying they disapprove of the job Trump is doing.
Trump’s previous low in the Gallup survey was on March 28 when his approval stood at 35 percent.
The results from Gallup follow a series of recent polls in which Trump’s approval has hit record lows. Last week the latest IBD/TIPP poll found Trump’s approval to be at just 32 percent.
Throughout his entire presidency, Trump’s approval rating has been at historic lows, when compared to other presidents. However, Monday’s poll results confirm a downward trend, indicating his approval rating may fall even lower.
The poll results come after a tumultuous weekend where Trump was roundly criticized for failing to condemn white supremacist violence in Charlottesville that led to the death of a young woman and dozens of injuries.
About the poll: Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.
