Trump Worked On Moscow Project During The Campaign: Report
Donald Trump’s Russia problem just got worse.
So it turns out that Donald Trump’s company was actively working on a massive project to develop a Trump Tower building in Moscow, during the campaign.
The blockbuster report by The Washington Post throws cold water on Trump’s claims not to have or had any business dealings in Russia.
A business associate of Trump, encouraged Trump to come to Russia to promote the real estate project and even claimed that Vladimir Putin would say “great things” about the project, The Post notes.
One interesting aspect of the report is that the Trump Organizations own attorneys have reviewed the documents related to the Russian real estate project.
Oh and the Trump associate who suggested Putin would help them with their deal? Felix Sater.
The same Felix Sater who is reported to be cooperating with authorities in the Russia investigation. Yes, the same Felix Sater that has a long established history of working with the Russian mafia.
Also the same Felix Sater that worked as an FBI informant before and plead guilty to a $40 million stock fraud scheme.
That Felix Sater.
The Washington Post notes that the newly revealed documents “provide evidence that Trump’s business was actively pursuing significant commercial interests in Russia at the same time he was campaigning to be president — and in a position to determine U.S.-Russia relations. The new details from the emails, which are scheduled to be turned over to congressional investigators soon, also point to the likelihood of additional contacts between Russia-connected individuals and Trump associates during his presidential bid.”
