North Korea Just Fired Missile Over Japan In Major Escalation

North Korea fired a medium-range missile that passed through Japanese airspace.

The missile, which came down in the Pacific Ocean around 6 AM local time, crossed over Hokkaido.

The missile launch marks a new provocation in an increasing escalator series of actions by North Korea.

In Japan, Emergency sirens rang out as the government issued a “take shelter” warning to those in the region.

The missile that flew over Japan was one of three missiles launched.

During a statement to the press, Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe said, “We’ll make the utmost effort to protect the public.”
