Former Labor Secretary Robert Riech has an important message for the Democratic Party in the lead up to the 2018 elections – it’s not enough to just opposed Trump.
The Democratic Party must explain to the American people what they stand for.
In a new video posted to his Facebook page, Reich calls on the party to move in a new direction.
Reich calls on party leaders to engage the millions of people who are becoming politically active for the first time.
Reich also cautions Democrats against moving to the middle.
And Democrats need to address rapidly widening income inequality which was one of the prime forces that led to Trump.
“If Democrats stand for one thing, it must be overcoming this unprecedented imbalance,” Reich says.
