BREAKING: Trump To End DACA Putting 800,000 Young Americans At Risk
President Trump has decided to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, according to a new Politico report.
The report also noted that the decision to end DACA would come with a 6-month delay.
Trump reportedly discussed the how to end the program with his senior advisors on Sunday.
President Obama initiated DACA program which blocked the deportation of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as minors and sought work permits.
As Politico notes, “He has faced strong warnings from members of his own party not to scrap the program and struggled with his own misgivings about targeting minors for deportation.”
