Sanders To Unveil Medicare For All Bill Wednesday
Universal health care emerging as a litmus test for Democrats.
Senator Bernie Sanders will unveil his “Medicare for all” legislation on Wednesday, his Senate office announced Friday.
Sanders’s single-payer health care bill received important support from within the Democratic Party this week with Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris announcing they would be supporting the bill.
Medicare for all was a key aspect of his presidential campaign in 2016 and has been a tense issue within the Democratic Party.
According to the announcement, Sanders will also be joined by “medical professionals, business leaders, and patients.”
