Reince Priebus And White House Counsel Don McGahn Just Lawyered Up
Trump associates continue to lawyer up as Russia probe widens.
President Trump’s former chief of staff Reince Priebus and his current White House counsel Don McGahn have both reportedly hired counsel to represent them in the Russia investigation.
According to Law360, Priebus and McGahn hired William Burck who a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP.
And Burck will advise Priebus and McGahn in Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
The news that Priebus and McGahn have hired an attorney comes just after a report that Mueller’s investigators have informed the White House that they would like to interview at least six senior aides to Donald Trump as part of his investigation into collusion with Russia by Trump camp as well as obstruction of justice by Donald Trump.
In addition to Priebus and McGahn Mueller is seeking interviews with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and Trump’s interim communications director Hope Hicks.
