Jimmy Kimmel Just Skewered Bill Cassidy For Not Being Honest About Health Bill (Video)

Senator Bill Cassidy isn’t living up to his own test on health care, Jimmy Kimmel said during his show Tuesday night.
Kimmel blasted Cassidy for not being honest when he was on his show. Earlier this year, Cassidy told Kimmel he would apply the “Jimmy Kimmel test” to any health care legislation he supports.
Kimmel said that his test is that no family is denied health care regardless of how much money they have.
Additionally, the late night host noted that the so-called Jimmy Kimmel test was something that Bill Cassidy came up with himself. So Cassidy isn’t living up to his own test.
During the monolouge Kimmel joked, “This new bill actually does pass the Jimmy Kimmel test. But with this one, your child with a pre-existing condition will get the care he needs, if — and only if —his father is Jimmy Kimmel.”
“Healthcare is complicated, it’s boring — I don’t want to talk about it — the details are confusing, and that’s what these guys are relying on,” Kimmel said. “We are all just looking at our Instagram accounts liking things, when they are voting on whether people can afford to keep their children alive or not.”
“We can’t let them do this to our children, our senior citizens, our veterans, or to any of us,” he added.
