Jimmy Kimmel went viral earlier in the year after he shared his family’s emotional story about his newborn son Billy who was born with a life threatening heart defect. Kimmel said that no parent should have to worry about the cost of treatment when their child is sick.
Senator Bill Cassidy who is one of the sponsors of the bill pledged not to support any bill that did not meet the “Jimmy Kimmel test.”
