The Golden State Warriors announced Saturday that they will not be visiting the Trump White House.
The Warriors released a statement responding to President Trump’s tweet Saturday withdrawing the team’s invitation to visit the White House, announcing the team would instead spend their Washington, D.C. visit celebrating “equality, diversity and inclusion.”
“While we intended to meet as a team at the first opportunity we had this morning to collaboratively discuss a potential visit to the White House, we accept President Trump has made it clear that we are not invited,” the team said in a statement.
“We believe there is nothing more American than our citizens having the right to express themselves freely on matters important to them. We’re disappointed that we did not have an opportunity during this process to share our views or have an open dialogue on issues impacting our communities that we felt would be important to raise,” the statement read.

The statement from the Warriors came just hours after Trump withdrew player Stephen Curry’s invitation from the White House in a tweet.
