At Least Six Trump White House Officials Used Personal Emails: NYT Report
Trump email drama grows.
The number of Trump administration officials who have used personal emails to conduct official government business has climbed to at least six.
According to a New York Times report, the six officials include former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, former chief strategist Steve Bannon as well as advisers Gary Cohn and Stephen Miller.
The report comes after it was revealed that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump both used private emails to conduct government business.
Donald Trump and Republicans, of course, blasted Hillary Clinton for using a private email during her time as Secretary of State.
As the New York Times notes, “Officials are supposed to use government emails for their official duties so their conversations are available to the public and those conducting oversight. But it is not illegal for White House officials to use private email accounts as long as they forward work-related messages to their work accounts so they can be preserved.”
