Donald Trump Tweeted About Fake Iranian Missile Launch: Report
The President of the United States is tweeting about fake missile launches and we should all be freaked out about it.
Donald Trump impulsively tweeted about an Iranian missile launch last week that turned out to be a fake, according to U.S. officials who spoke with Fox News.
Iranian state tv played a video of a missile launch during a military parade last week. Iran claimed it was a new type of missile, but the footage was actually from a January launch which failed.
On Saturday, Donald Trump tweeted about the unconfirmed reports as if they were fact.
“Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel,” the president wrote. “They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have!”
In a speech at the United Nations last week, Trump called the Iran nuclear deal an “embarrassment” to the United States. Trump has regularly suggested he will withdraw the U.S. from the deal.
