Senator Collins Confirms She’s Voting No On Obamacare Repeal
The announcement by Susan Collins effectively kills the GOP effort to repeal Obamacare.
Senator Susan Collins of Maine confirmed on Monday that she will vote no on the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare repeal bill.
The Maine Senator’s announcement is essentially the nail in the coffin for the last-ditch Republican effort to repeal Obamacare.
“Health care is a deeply personal, complex issue that affects every single one of us and one-sixth of the American economy. Sweeping reforms to our health care system and to Medicaid can’t be done well in a compressed time frame, especially when the actual bill is a moving target,” she said in a statement.
Collins joins fellow Republicans John McCain and Rand Paul in voting no.
