Price Has Also Taken $500,000 Worth Of Military Flights Overseas With His Wife
Price’s decision not to fly commercial has cost taxpayers at least $1 million, just since May!
Just hours after HHS Secretary Tom Price tried to bring an end to his private jet scandal by offering to pay back part of the taxpayer cost for his lavish travel, we get a new bombshell development.
In addition to the $400,000 in private jet travel, Price has also used military aircrafts for multiple overseas trips costing taxpayers an addition $500,000, Politico is reporting.
That brings the total taxpayer cost of Price’s jet-setting at near $1 million, since May!
Rather than booking commercial flights, which previous HHS secretaries have done for overseas travel.
Politico also reports that Price’s wife traveled with him on the military flights, while other members of his team flew commercially to Europe.
Price had previously come under fire for dozens of private jet flights costing taxpayers over $400,000 since May.
On Thursday, prior to the military plane revelation, Price offered to pay back the cost of his $400,000 private jet travel. However, it was quickly revealed that Price only plans to pay about $50,000 of the $400,000 back.
