Jimmy Kimmel, who grew up in Las Vegas, delivered an emotional monologue Monday night following the massacre Sunday night.
Kimmel also blasted Republican politicians who consistently vote to block common-sense gun safety laws.
The late-night comedian pointed out that the vast majority of Americans, both Republicans and Democrats, support common-sense gun laws. But for some reason, Republicans in Congress keep voting to stop them.
Kimmel also noted that when he was a kid, there were two fires in Las Vegas hotels. The response was to change the laws to prevent future deaths from fires. And as a result, the fires never happened again, Kimmel noted.
