Tillerson Refuses To Deny Calling Trump A ‘Moron’
People who plan to keep their jobs make sure to deny calling their boss a moron.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Wednesday refused to deny calling President Trump a “moron.”
NBC News reported Wednesday that Tillerson had threatened to resign over the summer because of several tense disputes with the White House.
Interestingly, Tillerson made a point to refute the report that he had threatened to resign but failed to bat back the report that he called Trump a “moron.”
The NBC report noted Vice President Mike Pence, along with Secretaries Mattis and Kelly, had to intervene to convince Tillerson to stay on at least until the end of the year.
“The vice president has never had to persuade me to remain as secretary of State because I have never considered leaving,” he said at the State Department.
According to the report, the tensions between Tillerson and Trump boiled over when the president gave an insane and political speech to a gathering of Boy Scouts – which Tillerson once led.
Just now, @SRuhle: "My source didn't just say he called him a moron. He said he called him an f-ing moron."
