Sorry Donald, Poll Confirms Public Trusts Media Not You

Trust in the Trump administration is falling as people start trusting the media more, according to a new Reuters-Ipsos poll.

The poll found that 48 percent of adults surveyed say they have a “great deal” or “some” confidence in the press. This represents an 11-point increase from last November.

Forty-five percent say they have “hardly any” confidence in the press, which is down from 51 percent.

The poll also shows that both Republicans and Democrats are starting to distrust Trump since he took office in January.

In January, 52 percent of respondents said they have a “great deal” or “some” confidence in Trump. It dropped 4 points, with the most recent survey finding that 48 percent of Americans now say they trust Trump.

Trump has been battling the media since his campaign, calling it the “the enemy of the American people.”

He continues to target negative press coverage, which he calls “fake news,” on Twitter and in speeches.
