Trump Presidency ‘Unraveling’ Advisers Say
“He’s lost a step.”
If it feels like Donald Trump is acting more unstable than usual, you are right. A bombshell new report details a “seething” Trump walking around the White House saying “I hate everyone in the White House!”
Vanity Fairs Gabriel Sherman details that close advisers close to Trump think his presidency is “unraveling.”
“In recent days, I spoke with a half dozen prominent Republicans and Trump advisers, and they all describe a White House in crisis as advisers struggle to contain a president who seems to be increasingly unfocused and consumed by dark moods,” Sherman notes.
During a conversation with his longtime head of security Trump complained “I hate everyone in the White House! There are a few exceptions, but I hate them!”
One Trump adviser, when describing their relief that Trump canceled a planned interview on 60 minutes last month, said “He’s lost a step. They don’t want him doing adversarial TV interviews.”
Even Steve Bannon doesn’t think that Trump is likely to finish his term, putting the odds at about 30 percent.
