Trump To End Obamacare Subsidies: Report
Trump plans to end subsidy payments for low-income Obamacare patients, putting millions at risk.
President Trump is planning to end Obamacare insurance subsidy payments, according to a report by Politico which was later confirmed by the Washington Post.
The move will throw the Obamacare insurance markets into chaos by driving up the cost of insurance for low and middle-income patients.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to end the payment to insurers, which are subsidies for patients.
According to Politico, the payments this year would be about $7 billion.
According to an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, 1 million people will lose insurance and premiums would spike by at least 20 percent if the insurance subsidies were cut off.
