New Poll Confirms Trump Is Historically Unpopular
Trump’s approval rating is falling among Republicans.
Just 32 percent of Americans approve of the job Donald Trump is doing as president, a new Pew poll has found.
At the same time, 63 percent of Americans disapprove of the job Trump is doing.
Trump’s approval is down 7 points since February.
And among Republicans, Trump’s approval is down 12 percent – a sign that his base is weakening.
Trump remains historically unpopular compared to all other modern presidents.
At the same point in their presidencies, the last five presidents were significantly more popular: Barack Obama (49%), George W. Bush (80%), Bill Clinton (48%), George H.W. Bush (71%), Ronald Reagan (49%).
About the poll: The Pew poll was conducted by telephone interviewing 1,503 adults between November 29-December 4, 2017. The poll has a margin of error of 2.9 percent.
