Trump Lawyers To Meet With Special Counsel Mueller Next Week

Happy holidays, Donald.

President Trump’s legal team will meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team next week, CNN is reporting.

According to the report, Trump’s private lawyers are hoping to gain insight into the Special Counsel’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign what the next steps may be.

This is not the first time that Mueller’s team has met with Trump Trump’s lawyers. However, this meeting comes after the Special Counsel has completed extensive interviews with several members of Trump’s administration and campaign team.

The Special Counsel has also reviewed mountains of documents handed over by the Trump campaign.

Despite the Trump team’s hope that the investigation is winding, CNN reports that “Mueller could still request more documents and additional interviews. No request to interview the President or the vice president has been made.”

Thus far, Mueller’s investigation has led to major actions against four Trump associates. Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick gates were indicted for several crimes.

And Mike Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser and senior campaign adivser, has plead guilty to lying to the FBI and is now cooperating with Mueller’s team. In addition to Flynn, another Trump campaign official, George Papadopoulos also pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and is cooperating.
