Mueller Has Trump Organization Documents Detailing Business Activities
A new report reveals that the Trump Organization has handed over documents about the President’s business dealings.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators have received documents handed over by President Trump’s company about business activities that may relate to the Russia investigation.
According to a new report by CNN, “The Trump Organization has provided documents on a range of events, conversations and meetings from President Donald Trump’s real estate business to investigators probing Russian election meddling, according to three people familiar with the matter.”
The report goes on to note that the “bulk of the information is focused on the period between June 2015, when Trump announced his candidacy, and his January 2017 inauguration.”
The documents have also been handed over to Congressional investigators.
According to CNN, the documents are largely about “the activities of the company’s executives as well as meetings and events, including emails and calendar entries, mostly connected to campaign-related matters.”
The news that Mueller and his team are now in possession of documents from Donald Trump’s business is a new revelation and signifies that the Special Counsel investigation is moving closer to Trump and his family.
