Special Counsel Has ‘Handwritten Notes’ Proving Trump Obstruction: Report

Mueller has obtained former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus’s handwritten notes confirming James Comey’s testimony.

The case for obstruction of justice against President Trump got a lot more likely Thursday night with the publishing of a bombshell story by The New York Times which detailed significant previously unreported evidence of Trump attempting to obstruct the Russia investigation.

According to a New York Times report, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators have obtained handwritten notes from President Trump’s former chief of staff Reince Prebius that confirm James Comey’s testimony to Congress.

Reince Prebius’s notes show “that Mr. Trump talked to Mr. Priebus about how he had called Mr. Comey to urge him to say publicly that he was not under investigation.”

In addition to the handwritten notes, Special Counsel Muller has also confirmed that Attorney General Jeff Sessions attempted to find dirt on James Comey to discredit him, The New York Times notes.

And most importantly, The New York Times revealed that “Mr. Mueller has also substantiated claims that Mr. Comey made in a series of memos describing troubling interactions with the president before he was fired in May.”
