Numbers Are In, Obama Created More Jobs Than Trump

For Donald Trump’s first year in office, U.S. job growth slowed to a six-year low.

Trump’s first year in office saw fewer jobs created than Obama did any of the last 5 years in office.

The U.S. economy added a modest 148,000 jobs in December, which came in below expectations. And now that the numbers are in, we can officially say that Obama created more jobs than Trump.

For Donald Trump’s first year in office, U.S. job growth slowed to a six-year low.

In 2016, Obama’s last year in office, 2.24 million jobs were created. Compared to 2017, Trump’s first year in office, where job growth slowed to 2.05 million new jobs.

In fact, Trump’s 2017 job growth number marks the lowest U.S. job growth in six years.

Obama created more jobs in each of the last 5 years. Here are the numbers:
