Mueller Just Added Veteran Cyber Crime Prosecutor To Special Counsel Team

Special Counsel Mueller’s latest hire signals he’s moving on Trump team’s connections to the Russian cyber operation.

For those who have speculated that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has moved on from a potential conspiracy/collusion charge against the Trump team and is focusing solely on an obstruction case – we just got significant new information confirming that Mueller has not moved on from a potential collusion case.

The Office of the Special Counsel confirmed Wednesday that Mueller has hired a veteran cyber crime prosecutor to the Special Counsel’s team.

The hiring of a cyber crime prosecutor – who is named Ryan Dickey – is a sign that Mueller continues to move forward with a case against anyone on the Trump team that participated in Russia’s cyber operation during the election.

It’s also important to note that Dickey joined Mueller’s team back in November, an indication that their case has likely progressed significantly.

Dickey is the first reported veteran cyber crimes prosecutor to join Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation.

The Washington Post was first to report that Dickey had joined Mueller’s team.
