Trump’s Lawyer Arranged Six-Figure Settlement To Silence Porn Star: Report
She was paid to keep quiet about her encounter with Trump.
A lawyer for President Trump arranged a six-figure payment to a former adult-film star to keep her from discussing a sexual encounter with Trump, according to a new report by the Wall Street Journal.
The “encounter” took place in 2006, one year after Trump and Melania Trump were married.
According to the report, Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney who represented the Trump Organization at the time, arranged for Stephanie Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, to receive $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement one month before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump was accused by nearly two dozen women of sexual harassment and assault during the campaign. Cohen told the Journal that Trump “vehemently denies any such occurrences as has Ms. Daniels.”
