Senator Cory Booker slammed Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Tuesday because of her failure to push back against President Donald Trump when he said – during a White House meeting – that he doesn’t want more immigrants from “sh-thole countries.”
“The commander in chief, in an Oval Office meeting, referring to people from African countries and Haitians with the most vial and vulgar language — that language festers,” Booker said.
“When ignorance and bigotry is alive with power, it’s a dangerous force in our country. Your silence and your amnesia is complicity.”
