Bannon Spent 20 Hours Talking To Mueller’s Investigators This Week

Trump’s former chief strategist met multiple times with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators.

President Trump’s former chief strategist Stephen Bannon met with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators multiple times over the past week, according to multiple reports.

NBC News was first to report that Bannon was interviewed by Mueller’s investigators for at about 20 hours over the last few days.

And according to the Associated Press, Bannon “answered every question that was put to him by Mueller’s team.”

Bannon was subpoenaed by the Special Counsel last month and has made an agreement to be interviewed in order to avoid grand jury testimony.

News of Bannon’s extensive interviews with the Special Counsel come on the same day that it was reported that former top Trump campaign adviser Rick Gates is finalizing a plea deal with Mueller’s investigators.

It is also notable that Bannon has refused to answer questions from the House Intel Committee – an indication that Mueller is blocking him from revealing evidence to the Committee that they fear will make its way back to Trump’s team.
