David Axelrod Perfectly Explains How Russia Tipped Election To Trump
Obama’s former campaign strategist points out how Russia’s support for Jill Stein helped get Trump elected.
Following the bombshell indictments against 13 Russian individuals on Friday by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, President Obama’s former campaign strategist David Axelrod took to Twitter to explain how Russia helped tip the election to Trump.
As Axelrod pointed out, Trump won Michigan by less than 12,000 votes and Jill Stein received 50,700 votes in the state. Mueller’s indictments today detailed how Russia’s election interference included support for Jill Stein who pulled thousands of votes from Hillary Clinton.
Check out David Axelrod’s full tweet here:
Jill Stein received 50,700 votes in MI. Trump won by less than 12,000. She outpolled Trump’s margin in WI, as well.
If Russians sought to redirect alienated HRC voters to third parties, as indictment alleges, it was a shrewd ploy. https://t.co/1igEg7PV4S— David Axelrod (@davidaxelrod) February 16, 2018
