Rick Gates To Plead Guilty, Will Cooperate With Special Counsel Investigation
Multiple news outlets confirm that the senior Trump aide will flip and become a cooperating witness in the Russia case.
After weeks of speculation and sometimes conflicting reporting, it seems that the news is about to become official – Rick Gates is about to flip.
Multiple news outlets are now reporting that former senior Trump campaign aide Rick Gates will plead guilty as early as Friday.
Gates will cooperate with the Special Counsel investigation and testify against his former associate Paul Manafort.
According to ABC News, Gates wrote a letter to his family and friends informing them of his decision to cooperate with Special Counsel Robert Mueller saying “The reality of how long this legal process will likely take, the cost, and the circus-like atmosphere of an anticipated trial are too much.”
The report has been confirmed by NBC, ABC, Washington Post, and New York Times.
