Trump Approval Rating Back Down To All-Time Low
A record low number of Americans approve of the job President Trump is doing.
That didn’t take long. After a few weeks of enjoying slightly better than dismal approval ratings, Donald Trump’s job approval rating is back down to an all-time low.
According to the new CNN/SSRS poll released Sunday, Trump’s job approval rating is down to just 35 percent – matching a record low for his presidency.
The last time Trump’s approval was at 35 percent in this poll was December of 2017.
The CNN poll comes after 17 people were killed at a Florida high school when a gunman with an AR 15 opened fire.
Trump’s approval rating still breaks down largely along party lines with about 80 percent of Republicans approving of the job Trump is doing. Though, Trump’s 80 percent approval among Republicans also marks an all-time low.
Trump fares much worse when it comes to independents and Democrats. Among independents, Trump’s approval stands at just 35 percent.
And among Democrats, Trump’s approval is just 5 percent.
About the poll: The CNN poll was conducted from February 20-23 among 1,016 adults. The margin of error is 3.7 percentage points.
