Majority Of Americans Say Trump Is A Racist: Poll
Well, duh!
A whopping 57 percent of Americans say that the president of the United States is a racist, a new poll finds.
The poll also found that Americans believe that Trump’s racist policies have been bad for Muslims and Hispanics.
The findings were part of the most recent Associated Press/NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll.
In addition to 57 percent of all Americans saying that Donald Trump is a racist, the results are even starker among African Americans and Hispanics.
Among African Americans, more than 80 percent say that Trump is a racist. And among Hispanics, that number is 75 percent.
About half of all white Americans also agree Trump is a racist.
Like pretty much every other issue in polling, the results largely break along partisan lines with 85 percent of Democrats saying Trump is racist but just 21 percent of Republicans saying the same thing.
About the poll: The AP-NORC poll of 1,337 adults was conducted Feb. 15-19 using a sample drawn from NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak Panel, which is designed to be representative of the U.S. population. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
