Guccifer 2.0 ‘Slipped Up,’ Was Just Identified As Russian Intelligence Officer
A new report reveals that Guccifer 2.0, Roger Stone’s WikiLeaks connect, is A Russian intelligence officer.

Guccifer 2.0, the hacker who publically took credit for the hacking of the Democratic National Committee, has been identified as a Russian intelligence officer.
According to The Daily Beast which was first to report the news, the hacker known as Guccifer 2.0 “slipped up” accidentally revealing his identity as a member of the Russian GRU.
Guccifer had hidden his true location using a VPN service, but according to the Daily Beast report, cybersecurity experts were able to trace his location to a building in Moscow after he failed to activate the VPN on one occasion.
The revelation will have significant implications for the Special Counsel investigation. Donald Trump’s campaign adviser Roger Stone has admitted, even bragged about his contacts with Guccifer 2.0 during the campaign.
And according to the report, Mueller has absorbed the FBI team that is working on tracking Guccifer 2.0 into his investigation.
