Trump Organization’s Contact With Russia Was More Extensive Than Previously Revealed
A new report reveals two more previously undisclosed contacts with Russia during the campaign.
According to documents turned over to federal investigators, Donald Trump’s business and other associates had more contact with Russia during the campaign than previously reported, the Washington Post is reporting.
“In one case, Trump’s personal attorney and a business associate exchanged emails weeks before the Republican National Convention about traveling to an economic conference in Russia that would be attended by top Russian financial and government leaders, including President Vladimir Putin, according to people familiar with the correspondence,” the Washington Post reported.
But the contact with Russia didn’t end there. In another instance, Cohen – who for years acted as Trump’s right-hand man – received a prosal from a Russian billionaire and former member of the Russian senate for a real estate project in Moscow.
The proposal called for Trump branding and was delivered to the Trump Organization during the campaign.
