In Sign Of Possible Plea Deal, Flynn’s Lawyer Met With Special Counsel Monday

We just got more evidence that Michael Flynn has flipped.

Michael Flynn’s attorney met with members of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team on Monday, according to a new report by ABC News.

The meeting between the former Trump national security adviser’s legal team and federal investigators is the latest sign that Flynn is cooperating with the Special Counsel investigation or in the process of negotiating a cooperation deal.

As ABC News details a Flynn plea deal “would typically include a series of off-the-record discussions in which prosecutors lay out in detail for Flynn and his lawyers the fruits of their investigation into his activities. Prosecutors would also provide Flynn an opportunity to offer what’s called a ‘proffer,’ detailing what information, if any, he has that could implicate others in wrongdoing.”

It was revealed on Thanksgiving day that Flynn’s legal team informed President Trump’s legal team that they would be ending their defense cooperation agreement – Monday’s news of a meeting with Mueller’s team increases speculation that a plea deal is in the works.

Additionally, the fact that there have not been any charges filed against Flynn again increases the speculation that Flynn has flipped and is now cooperating with the Special Counsel.

Potential charges against Flynn include failing to register as a foreign agent, potential kidnapping charges for planning a secret extradition plan of a Turkish cleric residing in the United States.
