Trump Approval Rating Drops Back To Near-Record Low

New poll numbers show Trump’s approval ratings are tanking.

The news for President Trump this Friday has gone from bad to worse – or maybe from worse to much worse?

On Friday morning we saw the bombshell revelation that Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and plans to testify against other senior Trump transition officials, including the president himself.

And shortly following the Flynn news it Gallup reported the latest presidential approval ratings revealing that Trump’s job approval is back down the near record lows.

According to Gallup, just 34 percent of Americans approve of the job Donald Trump is doing as president. Trump’s 34 percent approval rating is just one point from his all-time low of 33 percent which he hit on October 29.

At the same time, the number of Americans who disapprove of Donald Trump’s job as president is also back to a near-record high and currently stands at 60 percent.

The new Gallup numbers don’t reflect the latest revelations about Flynn’s guilty plea and decision to cooperate with the Special Counsel.

About the poll:  Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.
