GOP Congressman Used $84,000 In Taxpayer Money To Settle Sexual Harassment Case
Congressman Blake Farenthold used taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment claim from a staffer.
It was revealed Friday by Politico that Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) is the congressman who used $84,000 in taxpayer funds to settle a sexual harassment claim.
Congressman Gregg Harper who chairs the Committee on House Administration released a document detailing the amount and occasions that taxpayer funds have been used to pay sexual harassment claims.

The document did not explicitly name Farenthold as the member of Congress who used $84,000 in taxpayer funds to settle a claim against him.
But Politico quickly revealed it was Farenthold.
Farenthold’s former communications director Laren Greene filed a lawsuit in 2014 accusing the congressman of harassing her.
According to Politico, an aide to Farenthold told Greene the lawmaker had “sexual fantasies” and “wet dreams” about her, the lawsuit said.
The lawsuit also claimed Farenthold bragged about a female lobbyist propositioning him for a threesome and told Green she “could show her nipples whenever she wanted to,” Politico noted.
