Adam Schiff Nails Trump For Accidentally Admitting Obstruction Of Justice On Twitter
Adam Schiff asks the right questions.
President Trump may have ended is his presidency via a single tweet Saturday. Following the bombshell revelation that his former national security advisor, Michael Flynn, is now cooperating with the Special Counsel, Trump decided to tweet out his defense.
But unfortunately for Donald Trump, in doing so he may have just admitted to obstruction of justice.
And Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee just nailed Trump with a series of blistering questions.
Trump tweeted that he fired Flynn for lying to the FBI, admitting that he knew Flynn had lied to the FBI when he pressured James Comey to drop the FBI investigation into Flynn. Bingo. We have an admission of obstruction of justice.
So Schiff asked the key questions in a response to Trump tweet: “If that is true, Mr. President, why did you wait so long to fire Flynn? Why did you fail to act until his lies were publicly exposed? And why did you pressure Director Comey to ‘let this go?'”
