There’s A Massive New Republican Threat To The Mueller Investigation

Devin Nunes is leading a secret political hit team against Mueller, FBI, DOJ

A group of House Republicans has been meeting secretly for weeks to do Trump’s bidding.

We just found out about a massive new threat to Special Counsel investigation. According to a new report by Politico, a group of House Republicans has been quietly meeting for weeks to try and create dirt against the Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation.

The Republican working group is being led by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).

The group is trying to manufacture a case that the agencies somehow improperly handled the unverified contents of the Trump-Russia dossier.

The meetings are a clear effort by Republicans to support Donald Trump and his allies in raising doubts about the people investigating the President.

According to Politico, “The group hopes to release a report early next year detailing their concerns about the DOJ and FBI, and they might seek congressional votes to declassify elements of their evidence.”

“That final product could ultimately be used by Republicans to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether any Trump aides colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign — or possibly even to justify his dismissal, as some rank-and-file Republicans and Trump allies have demanded,” Politico went on to say.

Nunes and the Republicans have been working without the knowledge of the committee’s Democrats alongside the House investigation to examine what they see as corruption in the nation’s highest law enforcement body.

Nunes was forced to recuse himself from the Russia investigation after he improperly met with members of the White House.
